I am a teenager, and I have been playing chess for almost 10 years. I have a USCF rating of almost 900. I have won many tournaments locally, in the state level and national level. I can teach young kids who are at beginner/intermediate level to help them improve their game, read chess books to understand strategies, give tips on how to play in tournaments, and work on puzzles. Since I am a teenager myself, I can relate well to young kids. I can walk or scooter to your place in Bellevue, or you can come to my house on Wednesdays after school, or on the weekends. I am looking to make about $10-$15 an hour depending on the level of the student. This is a lot cheaper than the $40-$50 per hour for adult coaches, especially when they are at the beginner level. As part of the learning experience, I will also offer my time to play online chess (via yahoo account) with the student at other times, at no additional cost and use that as a teaching/learning tool too.
