The program will include the following:

1) A Dance and Poetry Sequence " Don't Let the Earth Spin

without Me ", depicting the theme of Divine and Human Love in

compositions based on the poetry of Rumi (Sufi poet and

mystic ), and enacted in Kathak , Odissi & Modern Dance,

performed by a troupe from the India Performing Arts Center led

by Rachna Agrawal, with guest artists Anindita Nanda (Odissi),

Lorelei Chang (Modern dance) and Tony Olivares (Modern dance ) ;

2) " Folk Dances from India " performed by Charu Pandit's

dance troupe ; and

3) " An Offering of Songs ", including Kabir, Tagore and

others, presented by Stanley Scott and the Rangila chorus.

The proceeds will be used for assisting educational projects

in India -- in Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Bangalore and

Bhavnagar, including projects for helping blind and hearing

impaired persons.
