I am offering music lessons in Hindusthani Shastriya Sangeet (North Indian Classical music)and Hindi bhajans.

I am equally interested in offering classes in bengali Rabindrasangeet, Nazrulgeeti.

An overview of my music background:

I have acquired 'Bachelor in Music' (B. Muse)

in Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet (North Indian Classical Music) and

Rabindrasangeet with 'Distinctions' in both disciplines, from

Allahabad Board of Music, India under the course curriculum of 'Prayag Sangeet Samiti'.

I had the interest in music and started getting lessons from a very tender age from my family.

Eventually, I had the privelege of having my classical music trainings under the able tutelage of disciples of Ustad Amir Khan and Pandit Tarapada Chakraborty, in India.

In Rabindrasangeet, I was fortunate enough of having my musical trainings from the noted singers as Sm. Ritu Guha and the late maestro, Sri. Subinoy Roy of Kolkata, India.

I have been a Radio and Television performing vocal artist in Kolkata, India

(in Rabindrasangeet) and performed in several places in US. I have released my first musical CD in Rabindrasangeet in February, 2009 from Kolkata, India.

I have offered music classes in other States before moving to Michigan.

For my students: Along with LEARNING to sing with the accompaniment of keyboard (or harmonium, if anyone has one) and my electronic 'tanpura', one will also acquire a knowledge in 'taalas'/rhythms with the help of my electronic tabla.
