I have a Preethy grinder which is old but I use it to make idli /dosa batter.

Initially it requires some gentle turning by the hand to get it started when there is more rice/urud dal. So I actually add little by little to get it to speed .

After the slow intial pick up , it gets into full speed and grinds perfectly smooth batter .

I want to be very clear with this as I don't want you to come expecting a new grinder . Asking $50 .
