REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Demonstrated leadership capability and/or experience

-Strong SQL skills

-Strong hands-on (at least 3 years) experience testing DW applications (Oracle, DB2)

-Microstrategy experience

-Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle

-Quality Center, PVCS, Requisite Pro

-Experience with automated regression testing is a plus

-QTP/LoadRunner experience is a plus

-Strong analytical skills

-Ability to multi-task

-Strong attention to detail

-Proven communication and documentation skills

-Excellent organizational, troubleshooting and analytical skills required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

-Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

-Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.

-Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.

-Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

-Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.

-Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

-The candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be prepared to make an immediate impact within our QA team.

-In addition to developing test scripts, the candidate will need to interface with managers and directors throughout the organization to build awareness of testing value.

TEST PLANNING:

-Review and provide input on all project level documentation.

-Assists in developing detailed testing estimates and timelines

-Create test plans and test cases as they relate to testing project requirements to ensure the overall quality of software delivered.

-Create requirement/test case relationship using Quality Center (traceability).

-Contribute to and assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.

TEST EXECUTION AND DEFECT IDENTIFICATION:

-Execute manual and automated test cases/scripts

-Log, track, and validate resolution of identified defects.

-Escalate quality concerns to management.
