The Elegant School of Modern Dance in Tamarac Florida presents a Bharata Natyam performance by Dancer, Choreogrpaher and Teacher Jaan R. Freeman Founder and Director of Dakshina Palli, Inc. in New York. Freeman is one of two male dancers performing in the lineage of the late great dancer Tanjore Balasaraswati.Freeman a disciple of Smt. Nandini Ramani and Smt. Priyamvada Sankar (both were senior disciples of Balasaraswati).
Freeman will present items from the repertoire with a description of the poetry each item.
The Elegant School of Modern Dance aim is to teach all forms of western dance but expose their students and the community to all forms of world dance.
