MILAN - a meeting point of Kathak & Tap Dancing is presented by Soorya Performing Arts. A classical dance style from North India, Kathak is represented by its fast paced, varying footwork patterns and chakkars (turns). It is widely performed and practiced in India and has caught up in USA. Guru Prasanna Kasthuri, Artistic Director of Soorya Performing Arts, joins with well known Tap maestro Prof. Robert Reed to present MILAN, a Kathak - Tap Experimental performance that will open Indian rhythms and tap rhythm and creates a unique performance. Sandhya Pandurangi on vocal, Naren on tabla, and Todd Mosby on guitar.
