| Will the Congress have to pay a heavy price for the Samajwadi Party's support for the nuclear deal?

| Will the Congress have to pay a heavy price for the Samajwadi Party's support for the nuclear deal? That's the big question, now that the Congress has sealed a deal with its former foe.
Although SP leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh deny there's any deal behind the deal, it's unlikely that their promise of support would be entirely free of cost.
SP leader Amar Singh has ruled out the possibility of his party asking for berths in the Manmohan Singh ministry but asserted that his party would keep up the pressure on the finance and petroleum ministers for failing to check price rise.
Amar Singh came down hard on petroleum minister Murli Deora for arguing against the windfall tax on companies who have benefited from the surge in crude prices.
Does this mean the SP would seek the resignation of the petroleum and finance ministers as decided by its parliamentary board?
Amar Singh has said if the Prime Minister still wants to keep these political liabilities, it is his prerogative.
The other worry for the Congress is that even with the SP, it will be just short of a majority of 272 in Parliament and will have to rely on smaller parties and Independents
