| Reacting to reports about farmers in the area being upset about having to give up their land for the project, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said the farmers in Gujarat are very cooperative and a Singur-like situation will never develop.
In an exclusive interview to NDTV's Hindi news channel, Modi said, "If you pick up last three days' newspaper, read what the farmers of Sanand have said. The people of Gujarat have a big heart." (Watch)
Modi confidently said that the Nano project in Sanand in Gujarat will not meet with the same fate.
