| Around 109 out of 229 people, who were rounded up from a rave party in Mumbai in October, have tested positive for drugs and are now likely to be re-arrested.
A total of 229 people had been picked up by the police in October from a rave party in Mumbai's Juhu area.
The test results for the others are yet to come. Among those picked up were a couple of filmstars' children.
PTI adds:The remained of the reports were expected in the next couple of days, he said.
In a raid carried out at the 'Bombay 72 Degree East' restaurant in suburban Andheri, the police had detained people and arrested eight alleged drug peddlers.
All the detained persons were released on bonds by a magistrate's court on October 6 after undergoing blood and urine tests.
The police will be writing letters to all those who tested positive asking them to appear before a court within a week and they would be booked under bailable sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Prevention) Act, Patil said.
The persons who had tested positive for narcotics could voluntarily choose to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation for drugs under sections of the NDPS or could face a maximum jail sentence of one year, he said.
