Expelled BJP leader Jaswant Singh on Sunday met former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the first time after he was thrown out of the party and "sought his blessings."
"I keep meeting Vajpayeeji. I had come to wish him on Ganesh Chaturthi and seek his blessings," Singh told reporters outside Vajpayee's residence.
This was Singh's first meeting with a BJP leader after he was expelled by the party. On Saturday, he had met his former Cabinet colleague and JD (U) leader George Fernandes.
Singh is considered close to Vajpayee.
When asked whether he discussed the issue of his expulsion, he said the former PM watches TV and is aware of the developments. "No further analysis is necessary," he added.
To a poser on whether he presented the copy of his latest book "Jinnah - India, Partition, Independence" to the party veteran, Singh said: "I told you what we discussed."
