Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi emerged out of the Special Investigation Team’s office in Gandhinagar after five and half fours of questioning in response to the notice issued by the Supreme Court appointed SIT. This was for the first time that Modi had presented himself before any authority in connection with the 2002 riots and its investigations, in the last eight years.
Emerging out from the SIT office he said, he could come later in the night for further questioning.
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi arrived around noon on Saturday at the Special Investigation Team's Office in Gandhinagar in response to the notice issued by the Supreme Court- appointed SIT.
Zakia Jaffri, the widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jaffri who was among the 69 butchered by a communal mob at Ahmedabad's Gulberg Society had petitioned SC seeking investigation against 63, including Modi, in connection with the massacre.
