Defence minister A K Antony on Saturday advised against jumping to conclusion on allegation of misconduct against a top army officer as the matter was under investigation.
"Don't jump to the conclusion, they (Army) are investigating," Antony told reporters when asked about Engineer-in-Chief Lt Gen A K Nanda facing allegation of misconduct.
The Defence minister was here to inaugurate housing project for armymen.
Army Chief General V K Singh, who accompanied the minister, said, "there are certain service norms and certain things which are done, we are going through that so there is no requirement to jump to the conclusion."
"After the things are over you will come to know," he added.
"Whenever there is a serious allegation, we are not ignoring it, we inquire about it and take actions," Antony said.
59-year-old Nanda has been accused by the wife of a junior officer of molesting her during a trip to Israel last month.
