Digvijay blames Advani for 'all rio
Digvijay blames Advani for 'all riots'
 INDIA , 29-September-2010  2:36:8 AM

After the Supreme Court order on Tuesday, the Congress launched an attack on senior BJP leader L K Advani, terming his recent visit to Somnath “suspect” and holding him responsible for “all communal violence since 1992”.

Congress general secretary in charge of UP Digvijay Singh also dismissed suggestions of his party being in anyway associated with the petition for deferment, that was filed by Ramesh Chandra Tripathi.

Asked about the relatively mild reaction of the BJP and Sangh Parivar in the run-up to the verdict and their appeals for calm and peace, Singh said he would “believe in the BJP or VHP over my dead body”.

Talking about Advani’s visit to Somnath, Singh said: “What was the need of talking about Ram temple at Somnath just two days before the judicial pronouncement?... Advani’s visit is absolute suspect because he is the one who had initiated the process of polarisation of society... I have always held that he is responsible for all communal violence since 1992.”
