JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav on Monday launched a scathing attack on AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi, saying there has been enough of dynastic rule in the country and it was time “somebody should pick up Rahul and throw him in Ganga”.
Rahul, who too is campaigning in the state, however, did not respond to Yadav’s jibes. But AICC Bihar in-charge Mukul Wasnik, who is accompanying Rahul, termed the JD(U) chief’s remarks “highly irresponsible”. “We could have retorted in the same manner but it is against the Congress culture to do so. But what Sharad Yadav said was in a very bad taste and against basic tenets of politics,” Wasnik said.
In Delhi, Congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad said the JD(U) president has lost his “political balance” as the young Amethi MP was drawing huge crowds in his rallies in Bihar. The party demanded that the Election Commission should take strict action against the JD(U) leader
