| There was chaos in Parliament on Tuesday morning with the Opposition putting the government and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on the mat in the cash-for-votes scam.
BJP leader Sushma Swaraj moved the privilege motion in Lok Sabha against Dr Singh for allegedly "misleading" the House by claiming that MPs were not bribed during the July 2008 trust vote
There were heated exchanges and angry voices in the Lok Sabha with the BJP and Left both insisting on a discussion on the matter in the House. The Opposition says they do not want to disrupt the finance bill but the discussion must take place.
Incidentally, as a counter to this, the ruling Congress has declared it will move a privilege motion against Swaraj for allegedly defying Speaker Meira Kumar last week by trying to seek clarifications from the Prime Minister after his statement on the revelations made by WikiLeaks on the cash-for-votes scam
