Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare expressed confidence that UPA leaders would show maturity and accept the Janlokpal Bill as drafted by the civil society.
“There is still time and I am hopeful that they would show maturity,” Hazare said.
He expressed hope that Union Minister Kapil Sibal and others would change their stand over the Lokpal Bill.
While addressing a rally, Hazare said he is ready to die for a stronger Lokpal Bill than surrendering before the rulers, “who are neglecting larger public interest and misusing the power given to them by people”.
Later, while talking to media, Hazare said, “The common will of people is supreme in democracy and they are against the Lokpal Bill presented by the government in the Parliament.”
Hazare also said his recent campaign over the Lokpal Bill in Rajasthan and north India received a good response.
