| Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has been granted bail; he will leave Bangalore's Central Prison as soon as paperwork is completed.
Mr Yeddyurappa was arrested on October 15 for corruption. He was accused of using his term as Chief Minister to help his children and their spouses get prime property at throwaway prices.
He was forced to quit in July after a report on illegal mining indicted him.
His term as the head of the BJP's only southern government was littered with accusations of graft. There are five separate cases against him related to different land scams.
After he was arrested, he moved from one hospital to another, complaining of chest pains. He returned to jail after doctors declared him fit.
