| A Delhi court today discharged Yahoo! from the civil petition that accuses 20 internet companies like Facebook and Google of hosting objectionable content on their website.
Yahoo! has already been discharged from a criminal petition of the same nature in a different court.
Last week, the court of Parveen Singh had ruled that Microsoft will not be party to this civil case, accepting Microsoft's arguments that the objectionable content was not being hosted on their website in any manner and hence, they were not liable to be part of the case.
Yahoo! has also presented similar arguments, saying that they were willing to cooperate with the law but there is no case against them.
