Mayawati lashes out at Samajwadi
Mayawati lashes out at Samajwadi Party
 INDIA , 16-April-2012  3:20:17 AM
words for Samajwadi Party. Addressing a gathering of party workers in Agra on Sunday as part of three-day Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, Mayawati said SP should work towards fulfilling its decisions instead of reversing the decisions taken during her regime.

"We worked above politics but the current sate government is working contrary to this principle. The government, instead of fulfilling promises, is focusing on reversing my earlier decisions. And all government decisions till now have been taken to facilitate the corrupt and criminals," she said.

"The way Samajwadi party is behaving, UP is going to be in a pathetic condition with full of ruffian rule and all wrong things happening all over. This government has given the state to mafias and ruffians. Even police is also feeling helpless," Mayawati added.

She also refuted allegations by the ruling Samajwadi Party that her government wasted precious space by developing parks.

"My party did a lot of things like building colleges and schools. In education sector we did a lot of things. Our party is inspired by Baba Saheb Ambedkar," she said.

She said if the Samajwadi Party was so keen to construct hospitals and colleges in the parks developed by her government to honour the leaders and social reformers, then it could start with Ram Manohar Lohia Park in Lucknow.

The BSP supremo also indulged in some pep talk with her party workers. "We did not win this time but it does not mean that we will sit back silently, without doing anything at our homes. I am sure we will be brought back to form the government. You all have to fight back and you will see the strength of a strong brotherhood in upcoming Lok Sabha elections," Mayawati said.

Mayawati also met party MPs and legislators to discuss strategies for the next Lok Sabha elections.
