| Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the act of Shamoon Qasmi, who was expelled from the group after he was found "secretly" recording committee proceedings, was part of a pre-written script.
Qasmi was expelled from Team Anna after he was allegedly caught recording the proceedings of its Core Committee meeting on April 22 in Noida following which he alleged that Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were running the movement as a private limited company.
"He was caught recording by Gopal Rai. Then Shanti Bhushan asked him to surrender the mobile. He did not do so.
During all this, me or Manish did not speak or he did not say anything about us.
"But he walked out of the meeting and outside, he told media about us. That means, it was pre-decided that he will talk against us. So we feel the whole episode is a sort of sting operation, acting according to a pre-written script," he said.
He was speaking at the release a book 'Annandolan' by Arunodhay Prakash on Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement.
Kejriwal said Team Anna was not against disclosure but in Qasmi's case, he alleged he recorded some conversations, which were private.
"He recorded the conversations during lunch also which might be private in nature. During such time, people do lose talk. These things should not be out," he said.
Earlier, Team Anna had claimed that three clippings having conversation during the Core Committee meeting were deleted from Qasmi's phone. They had not claimed that he had recorded conversations which was not part of the meeting.
