| The Congress today rejected the BJP's demand for a discussion in parliament on reports of illicit land deals involving Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
"State government and law enforcement agencies concerned will look into it. He (Vadra) is not a politician... He is an individual. Why will Parliament debate this? How does it qualify to come in Parliament?" asked Congress spokesperson Renuka Chowdhury.
She added, "We do not want to set precedence, where we were to discuss in Parliament the issues concerning individuals across the country."
Both houses of parliament were adjourned today as the BJP attacked the government over alleged sweetheart deals given in Congress-ruled Rajathan and Haryana to Mr Vadra.
Mrs Gandhi was in the Lok Sabha when BJP parliamentarians held up a placard that said, "Finance Minister, adopt the formula of son-in-law; earn sitting at home and reduce losses."
Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj encouraged disruptions by her party's members till the House was adjourned
