| Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir's Shopian district, police said.
An encounter broke out between militants and security forces after the latter launched a cordon and search operation in Pinjoora area of Shopian, 60 kms from Srinagar, they said.
Two militants have been killed so far, the police officials said, adding, the operation was still in progress.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain militants could not be ascertained yet, he added.
