| Trinamool MP Tapas Pal Admitted to Hospital After Suffering Brain Stroke

| Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal was today admitted to a super-specialty hospital in Kolkata after suffering a brain stroke.
"He (Paul) was brought to the hospital at 4 pm. MRI was conducted and it was found that he has suffered a brain stroke. He has been admitted in ICU and is under 72-hour observation," Belle Vue Hospital official P Tandon said. (Also read: Judges Fail to See Eye to Eye in Tapas Pal's case)
There was a huge outrage in July after hazy footage aired by local TV channels showed the two-term MP threatening to have women relatives of Left workers raped. Mr Pal, whose party is headed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, had also said that he would have workers of the rival Left killed or shoot them dead himself
