| 25 Indian Workers in Kuwait Arrested For Murder, Their Colleagues Send SOS

| workers have reportedly been arrested in Kuwait for the alleged murder of two Egyptians. Their colleagues have sent an SOS to the Narendra Modi government.
In a video message, the workers have said they are being hounded by the police and harassed by the construction firm they work for. They have pleaded with PM Modi and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to step in.
The Indian mission has contacted the Kuwaiti foreign ministry.
Reports supggest the Indians were arrested by the Kuwait police yesterday, a day after clashes between two groups, in which two Egyptians died.
Over 500 workers, mostly from Punjab and Rajasthan, are reportedly stuck at the factory and have not been allowed to leave.
"Our firm is harassing us. I appeal to the Indian government for help. About 700 of us working here are being targeted," said the workers in the video, alleging they were neither given food nor legal help.
The Indian workers also accused the police of bias, mainly because they could not communicate with them properly.
In New Delhi, the foreign ministry asserted that all Indians are safe.
