Arvind Kejriwal to Take Oath
Arvind Kejriwal to Take Oath as Delhi Chief Minister on Saturday
 INDIA , 10-February-2015  5:55:5 AM
Arvind Kejriwal is set to be Delhi's next chief minister at the head of a mammoth Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. He is expected to oath at the Ramlila grounds on Saturday, February 14.

1The Aam Aadmi Party has swept the Delhi elections; it has won in 67 seats. The BJP mopped up the other three.

2Arvind Kejriwal, who tracked results all morning at AAP's party office in west Delhi's Patel Nagar, is now back home in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, where he was welcomed by big crowds.

3The Aam Aadmi Party's newly elected legislators will meet at 5 pm today at the Constitution Club in Delhi to formally choose their legislative party leader.

4The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi will formally invite Mr Kejriwal to form government over the next couple of days.

5Mr Kejriwal, 46, is expected to take oath along with his new ministers on Saturday evening at the Ramlila grounds, where he first made headlines as Gandhian activist Anna Hazare's chief aide during the latter's anti-corruption campaign in 2011.

6Mr Kejriwal had resigned on February 14 last year, after 49 tumultuous days as Delhi chief minister at the head of a minority government.

7On Saturday, sources said, Arvind Kejriwal is expected to travel in a roadshow from his home in Ghaziabad to the Ramlila grounds to take oath.

8Mr Kejriwal has already made his agenda clear. "My first priority will be to end "rishvatkhori (bribery)," Mr Kejriwal told NDTV this morning.

9The focus of his government would be on ending corruption and the "VIP culture," he said.

10It is not clear yet whether Arvind Kejriwal's first Sunday as chief minister will be spent at work. Some of his party colleagues have reportedly said they would like to watch the India-Pakistan World Cup match,
