| Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the death of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Kalpataru Das and former Governor of Kerala and Bihar RS Gavai.
Mr Modi tweeted:
Pained to hear about the passing away of Rajya Sabha MP Shri Kalpataru Das. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace: PM

Mr Das died after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 65.
Mr Modi also condoled the demise of former Governor of Kerala and Bihar RS Gavai who passed away today after a prolonged illness at a private hospital in New Delhi.
The PM tweeted:
