| Bitti Mohanty likely to surrender |

| Sources have told NDTV that Biti Mohanty, the Alwar rape convict who jumped parole on December 4, is likely to surrender before the Superintendent of the Jaipur jail on Friday.
He was lodged there until he was let out on parole on November 20 for a period of 15 days.
Meanwhile, in a complete turnaround BB Mohanty, Bitti's father and Orissa DG, Fire Services, has written a statement to the ADJM, Jaipur saying that he never went to Jaipur nor signed any surety bond for his son.
Although the Rajasthan police has not sent any further communication or any team to Orissa after filing an FIR against BB Mohanty in Jaipur on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has promised all possible cooperation to the Rajasthan government in the matter.
Earlier there were reports that Bitti would surrender on January 5 but that did not happen.
