| The outgoing Chief Justice of India Justice Yogesh Kumar Sabharwal spoke on a range of issues on his last day in office.
The highlights of his 14-month tenure as CJI have been the assertion of the apex court's authority over Parliament regarding laws in the 9th schedule.

Speaking on the tension between the executive and the judiciary, Justice Sabharwal said that a bit of tension was a good thing.
During his tenure as a Supreme Court judge, Justice Sabharwal indicted the then Bihar Governor Buta Singh for recommending President's rule in Bihar.
Justice KG Balakrishnan will be sworn in as the new Chief Justice of India on Sunday.
