| Putin arrives in India |
| Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India for a high profile two-day visit.

| In a rare gesture, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself received the Russian President at the airport.
The two countries are expected to sign around 10 agreements from civilian nuclear cooperation to space and more.
They may also sign a declaration on future civilian nuclear cooperation. Russia is already helping India in this area.
Both sides are in talks for four more Russian reactors at Koodankulam in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, three space agreements are expected to be signed. Boosting trade is another key focus and Putin is being accompanied by a business delegation.
President Putin is the chief guest at Friday's Republic Day parade.
