| Fake encounter sparks protests |

| The body of Abdul Rehman Padru who was allegedly killed in a fake encounter is being exhumed in Sunbul, around 40 km from Srinagar.
Hundreds of people are protesting near the graveyard demanding that the killers be brought to justice.
Thirty-five year old carpenter Padru went missing from police custody in December last year.
He was suspected to have been killed in an alleged encounter on December 8.
Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has ordered a judicial probe into the incident.
Padru was branded a Pakistani militant and the police claim to have recovered an AK 47 rifle, two magazines and ammunition from him.
