| Andhra urged to resume Krishnawater |

| The Tamil Nadu Government has written to the Andhra Pradesh authorities on Wednesday seeking resumption of water release from the Kandaleru reservoir to Chennai.
As Tamil Nadu has not received any supply the past four days, the PWD authorities here wrote to their counterparts in Andhra Pradesh. Chennai's water managers are keen on increasing the storage in the reservoirs to meet the demand for water in summer.
The letter seeks supply of water at least till the month-end.
A PWD official here said the three reservoirs — Poondi, Cholavaram and Red Hills — could store another 1.3 thousand million cubic feet of water (tmcft).
