| Spaceship passes over Gujarat |
| Astronaut Sunita Williams spaceship Expedition passed over Gujarat on Friday.

| Children gathered on rooftops and waved torch lights and flash bulbs to mark the occasion.
They may not have been able to see the spaceship but they shouted slogans such as 'Hello Sunita' at about 7.51 pm.
For the astronomical clubs who organised the event in Bhuj, Ahmedabad and Rajkot, it provided an opportunity to generate interest in space science among children.
Williams is on a Space Shuttle mission aboard the shuttle Discovery that was launched on December 10, 2006.
