| The former chief minister is extending a friendly handshake towards just everyone.
The CPI(M) state secretary was Naidu's bitter foe till recently. In 2000, three CPI(M) activists agitating against the power tariff hike were killed in police firing in Hyderabad when Naidu was chief minister.
"There is nothing personal against anybody. They differed on issues, so they fought. We after all worked for so many years together," said N Chandrababu Naidu, Leader of the Opposition.
"In politics there are no friends and enemies. Whenever we agree on a policy even enemies get together," said Raghavulu.
Naidu is against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and had predicted that Telangana Rashtra Samiti would shut shop in six months. Now TRS is an important Naidu ally in the fight against the government in the assembly.
"He is re-thinking now. Because he got only 10 out of 107 seats. He won't get even that in the next election," said N Narasimha Reddy, Leader, TRS.
Gag on press
The Rajasekhara Reddy government's move to bring an order to gag the press came in handy for Naidu to try and become the darling of the media.
Naidu conveniently forgot that he had attacked a section of the media very bitterly for predicting his defeat in the 2004 elections.
"It is an attack on the entire media in the country. We want to protect freedom of press," he said.
With just two years to go for the assembly elections everything is perhaps fair in love, war and politics for Naidu.
