| The Delhi High Court is expected to issue an interim order on nursery admissions in the Capital.
The court, on Wednesday, indicated that the Delhi government's current proposal for a cut-off age of four years was contrary to law.
It indicated that it was likely to fix the cut-off age at three years for nursery and five years for class I.
It further added that in doing so, it would only be following the present law laid down in the Delhi Education Act. But the Delhi government could amend the law and ensure a change in the cut-off date.
The Delhi government has already indicated that it will bring in an amendment in the current assembly session.
The government is responding to complaints from a large number of parents, play schools and psychologists.
