| CBSE board exams begin |
| The Class XII exam under Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began on Thursday

| Over five lakh students are expected to appear for the exams in over 7,000 centres across the country.
This year the board has decided to provide students with 15 minutes extra to 'cool off' before the exam.
The number of pages in the answer booklets have also been increased.
The class X exam will start from Friday with Social Science paper. About seven lakh students will appear in the test in class X.
