| Delhi metro gets wheelchair access |

| A few weeks ago, NDTV had shown an appeal by a viewer who wanted to know why there was a ramp at the Delhi metro when it was not accessible to the very people it was designed for.
A disinterested metro simply washed its hands off the problem but as NDTV found out, the solution was simple.
Metro officials claimed that clearing access to the ramp was the responsibility of the NDMC. However at the same time they never bothered to inform the concerned authorities.
The NDTV team visited NDMC officials and informed them directly of the problem and within hours things began moving and finally the wheelchair ramp is ready for use.
Quite clearly, it was the apparent lack of will on part of Delhi Metro officials that was the main obstacle to solving a problem that had an extremely simple solution.
