| Three labourers working at a building construction site at Meenambakkam were injured when a portion of the scaffolding collapsed on Tuesday.
According to airport sources, a new building is being constructed for the Customs department near the Air Cargo complex. Officials said that at around 4.30 p.m., a few pipes, which were erected as support, gave way and fell on the labourers. They were taken to a private hospital in Guindy. The Customs authorities said the work had been entrusted to a CPWD-approved contractor.
