| SC grants bail to Amardeep |
| The Supreme Court granted bail to Amardeep Singh Gill in Jessica Lall Murder case

| Amardeep alias Tony was sentenced to four years in prison by the Delhi High Court in the case.
A Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan allowed his release on bail on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 25,000 and a surety of the same amount.
The Bench has directed him to surrender his passport.
Meanwhile, the court also fixed July 17 to hear the appeal filed by Manu Sharma, the main accused who is challenging his conviction and life sentence given by the HC.
Manu, son of senior Congress leader Venod Sharma, was held guilty for killing Lall at a South Delhi restaurant on the intervening night of April 29-30, 1999.
Vikas Yadav, son of controversial Uttar Pradesh politician D P Yadav was also convicted and sentenced to four years imprisonment for destroying evidence.
