| An Air India flight from Bangkok made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday morning, delaying flight services.
All the 169 passengers on board were taken out of the aircraft after it landed at around 6:30 am.
The aircraft, AI 349, made two attempts to land before it finally managed to do so but the emergency landing blocked the main runway of the airport, disrupting flight schedules. However, the second runway was operational.
The pilots of the flight made two attempts to land but failed as the plane's landing gear jammed.
"We had reached Delhi by 5.30 am but when they tried to land, they couldn't. Later we were told that there was some technical problem. We were told about emergency landing measures. Everyone started worrying," said a passenger.
Firebrigades and ambulances were on standby. All the passengers on board disembarked safely using the step-ladder.
While the aircraft was being towed away to taxi-way, its landing gear collapsed completely.
