| Tamil Nadu is gearing up for yet another round of legal battle for its share of the Cauvery water.

| The Cauvery tribunal's final award had granted 192 TMC feet of water to Tamil Nadu from Karnataka.
However, Tamil Nadu is not satisfied, as this is less than the interim award of 205 TMC feet.
While Karnataka is reportedly making attempts to move the Supreme Court to obtain a stay on the award, an all-party meeting in Chennai decided to first file a review petition before the tribunal seeking specific clarifications and to approach the Apex court only if required.
The key points raised include water-sharing formula during drought and clarity on Karnataka's enlarged area under irrigation.
"We will not give up Tamil Nadu's rights. In this issue, all political parties are united," said G K Mani, President, PMK.
However, the opposition AIADMK is up in arms. The party wants the government to directly approach the Supreme Court, as going to the tribunal may actually delay justice by another decade.
"We are against the resolution," said N Jothi, MP, AIADMK.
Even this crucial development in the Cauvery issue is facing a deep political divide in Tamil Nadu and for lakhs of farmers, their 16-year-long wait continues even after the tribunal's final award.
