| It's people like Mohammed Khan who redeem your faith in the system. He lives in Mumbai and his daughter is physically challenged.
On Tuesday, 39-year old Khan returned to the police a diamond necklace worth Rs 8 lakh that was left in his car by a passenger.
Other taxi drivers mocked at me for returning the valuables but I am a family man and don't want to keep others' money. Moreover I was frightened of the revolver in the bag, said Mohammed Khan, taxi driver.
On Monday night, Khan took a diamond merchant from Zaveri bazaar to Malabar Hill. The passenger forgot his bag that contained an imported revolver and the diamond necklace.
Khan took the bag to the Malabar hill police station and also won the appreciation of the hard-nosed Mumbai cop.
Driving on Mumbai's streets for 12 years, this was the first time that money literally landed on Khan's lap.
But it was the businessman's good fortune that he chose this cab to get forgetful in Mumbai
