| Parliament adjourned |
| Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned moments after resuming the second phase of the Budget session.

| The move came after clashes erupted between the UPA and the opposition on a range of issues including the emigration scandal.
Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till noon. In the Rajya Sabha there were angry exchanges between the BJP and the Left parties.
In the Lok Sabha there were noisy demands from various parties that the question hour be suspended to discuss other issues.
Common ground
But one area where all the parties are likely to find common ground is the issue of reservation for OBCs.
Though the Congress has been silent on the latest scandal of MPs involved in an emigration racket, the Left under attack from the NDA over Nandigram made it clear it's payback time.
''MPs being involved in such a scam is a shame,'' said Gurudas Dasgupta, MP, CPI (M).
These are issues like the tussle between Parliament and the judiciary over the OBC quotas in higher educational institutions.
