| Ammonia gas leak near Kochi |
| Those who reported uneasiness after inhaling the gas were from Irumbanam area near Tripunithura

| Several persons were rushed to hospital on Thursday following ammonia gas leakage at a place close to a Fertilizer And Chemical Travancore (FACT) plant.
Those who reported uneasiness after inhaling the gas were from Irumbanam area near Tripunithura, but the fire brigade said it was not clear if the leakage was from the FACT plant at Ambalamedu or from a tanker lorry.
Officials said relief camps had been started at the Tripunithura Government High School and the situation was being monitored.
