| Dinesh Karthik scored his maiden Test ton just before lunch to become the third centurion in India's innings as they built a commanding total in Dhaka.
Resuming on 326-0, the tourists moved to 442-1 on the second morning of the second Test, with Rahul Dravid making 129, Sachin Tendulkar an unbeaten 63.
Dravid hit 15 boundaries and a six in his 24th Test hundred before he cut spinner Mohammad Rafique to Javed Omar.
Karthik, who had retired with cramp on Friday, returned to reach his century.
The Tamil Nadu youngster, who turns 22 on 1 June and is playing his 13th Test, has so far hit 13 boundaries.
