| Passengers of the 'Indian' can have a sigh of relief with employees of national carrier calling off the strike.
All Indian flights are likely to be back to normal in couple of hours time.
''Some minor issues of career progression have also been settled. The union has agreed to call off strike and the operations will resume in the next few hours,'' said Ashok Chawla, Secretary, Civil Aviation.
After three days of disrupted flights and passenger woes the union and management worked out an agreement to end the deadlock.
As part of the deal, the management is likely to pay arrears before 2008 instead of three years later.
However, the arrear package of Rs 267 crore remains the same but would be paid in 18 months time.
The management also agreed to relax career progression rules and even reconsider the suspension notices issued to 23 striking employees on Wednesday.
