| There's been no overnight rain in Mumbai, which means that Sunday morning's heavy rain and flooding that also resulted in air, road, and train delays in most parts is currently over for the metro.
The railways are allowing for slight delays in trains.
Elsewhere in the country, the number of dead in rains over the last two days has mounted to over 130 in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
Whereas the three southern states are still recovering from the heavy rain and floods of the past few days.
Karnataka was the worst hit over the last 24 hours, with 39 people dying in rain-related mishaps.
Floodwaters have subsided in AP but thousands are still marooned.
Monsoons hit Orissa
Although the Met department had announced the onset of monsoon in Orissa on June 14 but it was only on Sunday that the monsoon appeared real.
While many parts of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh had to bear the brunt of the havoc caused by the deep depression.
Most parts of South and coastal Orissa including Bhubaneswar experienced heavy rains on Sunday which is good news for the farmers.
The monsoon system has now been activated and there are strong possibilities of it gaining strength once another low pressure area takes shape over the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 to 36 hours.
