| The Union Cabinet is meeting on Thursday and one of the items on its agenda is a hike in the President's salary.
The Cabinet will consider doubling the First Citizen's salary from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh per month.
The salary of the Vice-President will also be discussed.
Other matters on the meeting agenda include rules for registration of chemical establishments.
