Efforts on to rescue boy from borew
Close circuit TVs are being used to monitor the child's movements. The boy is being supplied oxygen.
 INDIA , 5-July-2007  2:53:41 AM
Efforts are on to rescue a five-year-old boy called Suraj from a borewell in Nimeda near Jaipur.

The boy fell into the 180 foot borewell last afternoon while playing. The Army is assisting with rescue work.

Close circuit TVs are being used to monitor the child's movements. The boy is being supplied oxygen.

In a rescue operation reminiscent of Prince, who fell into a pit a year ago, the army has dug a parallel pit to reach the boy.

The depth of the pit being dug by the army is around 50 foot so far.

CCTV footage shows that Suraj's arms are raised and he has been crying for several hours.
