| The Delhi High Court has issued suo motu notices to the state government and the police on the issue of increasing Blueline bus accidents.
They have been asked to reply by July 31.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government is getting tough on the Blueline bus issue. After an increase in the number of accidents, the government will launch a drive against the buses on Tuesday to ensure peoples' safety on the roads.
The buses, if caught flouting rules, will be impounded immediately and inspection teams will have to submit their daily reports to the office of the Chief Minister.
One thousand permits for buses, which will be run by corporate houses, will be issued shortly.
Nearly 48 new red lights will also be installed at vulnerable traffic intersections in the capital to minimise accidents.
